According to Torrentfreak, the release group ETRG shut down for good as well. “Ettv & Ethd could remain operational if they get enough donations via Bitcoin to cover the expenses and if they people handling it ready to keep going” he said.
Extratorrent alternatives are hard to finde as ET has become the biggest torrent site after the shutdown of Kickass Torrents back in 2016. Most of the popped up sites claiming to be the new original website are fake. The clones are not replacing the defunct sites, all they do is trying to replace them with content from The Pirate Bay. They are just using the skin of Extratorrent. So be aware!.
